"This book is born of the need to solve the continuing doubts that arose me every day in the classroom. For over ten years, my students have asked me all sorts of questions, from the most innocent until they were be a complete headache. Each of the responses, with varying degrees of difficulty, more or less clearly, I've been finding along the way, whether chatting with colleagues or reading what other musicians had written on each of the topics of debate. for this reason, the present work aims to synthesize and sequence all the concepts learned, seeking a balance between rigor of documentation and flexibility of everyday musician.
To complement the theoretical content of the book I did an intensive work of searching examples, always seeking some variety. Thus, I offer the possibility to open up to different musical genres and watch artists as diametrically opposed in style are able to exemplify the same theoretical concept. It is important then that you look and listen to each musical examples to better assimilate the theory. The contents of the book, except for some applications and specific comments for guitarists, is purely theoretical. For this reason, the book can be useful for any instrumentalist. Still, I wanted to emphasize in the title of the work that the main objective is to provide the tonal harmony for guitarists, guild of which I am part."
