Manuel Reyes is recognized as one of the most prestigious flamenco guitar makers in Spain. His guitars are sought after and desired throughout the world by professional guitarists, amateurs and collectors.
Manuel Reyes began his career in guitar building in 1949 and dedicated his entire life to the fine art of construction; today his guitars enjoy notable and well-deserved recognition throughout the world and his original guitars are increasingly valued.
Specifically, this flamenco guitar from 1958 with a German spruce for the top and back & sides made of an excellent Spanish cypress is a clear exponent of his work.
This “zero” fret guitar offers unsurpassed comfort for the left hand, and a genuine traditional flamenco sound only available to the best historical guitars.
The guitar is in perfect condition and with all its original parts.
It only has small marks of use and traces of the passage of time.
One of the sides had a slight crack that many years ago was repaired by Manuel Reyes himself in his workshop in Córdoba.
The guitar has been re-fresh the varnish using the same type of original shellac varnish, to preserve the extremely high quality of the wood, which can be over a century old.
The guitar is perfectly functional, with a spectacular sound and a high level of projection.
It is a unique and unrepeatable guitar, a piece of the history of the construction of the best Andalusian flamenco guitars.
