The origins of Manufacturas Alhambra can be traced back to the early 60s, when a group of young entrepreneurs, urged by their passion for the Spanish guitar, set up a business venture to build artisan guitars of high quality, yet affordable for all budgets.

Among these young people were José María Vilaplana and Ricardo Llorens, artisans and designers who, from the beginning, developed a new guitar with high building standards, which became a hallmark for all Alhambra instruments since then. A proposal that has obtained great success in our country, so much so that we could say that Alhambra guitars are the most widely used among students in music schools and conservatories in our country.
