Fernando Mazza is a luthier unusual. First to be cosidered, it must be said that is a guitarist, he completed his career as guitarist at the Conservatory Alberto Ginastera, Buenos Aires, although it has found in the construction of the guitar, his true passion.

His demands as professional interpreter together with his experience, education and mastery of construction techniques,has brought the best from two perspectives, the intepreter requeriments and what the craftsman can do to meet these demands.

Fernando is a restless craftsman, not content with making a good guitar, his obsession is to make the best guitar. He has spent much time studying and analyzing, building styles, traditional methods and new techniques to reach a model that gathers the best of both, the traditional system, and the most advanced and sophisticated construction techniques.

Fernando builds his guitars with the Australian system (Smallman type – attice bracing), but much improved. He has been able to join the best of two worlds, power, stability and harmonic richness of the Australian system, and the essence of the sound of the Spanish guitar.

Additionally he added two features of great value. A neck with adjustable bidirectional rod-bar, that together with its thin design, allows a very low action and results in one of the easiest playing guitars worldwide. Additionally Mazza has also introduced the port sound (elliptical cavity in the top side), which provides extra power and projection, for listeners and especially for the guitarist.
