FUSION GUITAR QUARTET
Fusion Guitar Quartet is an exciting project that, since its inception two years ago, aims to break musical barriers and bring classical guitar to a wider audience. Comprising four talented guitarists—África Aragón, Raquel del Pino, Ricardo Escorcio, and Álvaro Basanta—the quartet stands out for its innovative blend of styles. Their repertoire spans from the classical works of Isaac Albéniz and Manuel de Falla to the vibrant rhythms of Michael Jackson and AC/DC, demonstrating that the guitar is a versatile and dynamic instrument.
This novel format not only focuses on musical performance but also seeks to connect emotionally with the audience and educate them about the richness of classical guitar. Fusion Guitar Quartet strives to make its proposal relevant and appealing in the contemporary musical context, inviting listeners to experience a unique fusion of tradition and innovation.
One of the quartet's goals is to expand the horizons of classical guitar, which has historically belonged to a small group of music lovers. With their bold approach, they aim to give a creative twist to classic themes while maintaining their roots and evolving in new directions. Through musical experimentation, the audience will be able to journey through and recognize some of the most iconic pieces from both classical and electric guitar.
With Fusion Guitar Quartet, each concert is an opportunity to experience a unique musical journey that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the hearts of all attendees.
