DAMIAN CAZENEUVE, Guitarist

He was born in Neuquén. He began studying guitar with the Professor Hugo Berbel at the age of 10. He studied in Buenos Aires and, under the direction of Graciela Pomponio, graduated from the National Conservatory with a medal of honour. He has performed concerts in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Portugal, Italy, Spain, France, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, Germany and Austria.

Between 2003 and 2005, he lived in Salzburg, Austria, to pursue a postgraduate degree at the prestigious Mozarteum Universität, with Professor Isabel Siewers. It is presented during those years in various concert Halls in the cities of Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck. Upon his return he taught advanced courses and was invited to be Jur in various competitions.

He has been soloist of the most important concerts for guitar and orchestra. Along with his solo career, he has always worked in chamber music, forming many ensambles.

In 2009 he made an extensive tour of five countries in Europe presenting his first CD, dedicated to Argentine composers, with notable success of audiences and specialized critics. In this tour he taught Masterclasses at the Conservatory of Vorarlberg (Austria) and at the Conservatory of Music in Vigo (Spain).

In 2010 he made his second tour of the countries of Austria and Liechtenstein, being invited to the prestigious festival "Liechtensteiner gitarrentage", where he shared concerts and taught with great guitar masters such as Alvaro Pierri, Hopkinson Smith, Dale Kavanagh and David Russell, among others.

The impact of these concerts and classes earned him the invitation again in 2011, and in 2013 he made his fourth tour of European countries presenting his last CD dedicated to Latin American composers.
Since then, he made several and successful tours along all Europe, performing in more than 10 countries.

He is guitar Professor at the Neuquén and Plottier Provincial School of Music.

He alternes living between Neuquén (Argentina) and Madrid (Spain).
