Javier Infante has graduated with honors from the Advanced Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands (1999). He has also obtained a Master degree in Jazz and Modern Music (2000) from the Musicians Institute (Hollywood) in Los Angeles (USA) where he worked for MCA Universal, California. His wide musical training has led him to study with very prestigious musicians such as Fernando Bautista, Carlos Oramas, Scott Henderson, Jamie Findlay, Ross Bolton, Mike Stern, Roland Dyens, Steve Vai, Fred Hersch, Nelson Veras, Dominique di Piazza, Hübert Kappel, Paulo Bellinati, Mo Esther Guzman, Andrew York, Scott Tenant, Costas Cotsiolis, Marcos Socías, Silfredo Pérez, Merengue de Córdoba, David Russell, Laura Young, Costas Cotsiolis, Zoran Dukic, Marcos Socías, Chico Pinheiro, Marco Pereira, etc.

He has explored different musical languages that are reflected in his personal style. Througout his career, he has participated in important projects not only in the world of jazz but also in the classical and traditional music from the Canary Islands together with José Antonio Ramos, Mestisay, Totoyo Millares, Luis Morera, Markus Stockhausen, Jurandir Santana, Kike Perdomo, Llibert Fortuny, Nantha Kumar, Jose Alberto Medina, Iván Martín, amongst others. Infante has played in concerts in Spain, Africa, The United States, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Germany, France and Holland.

He has published seven albums as a music composer, producer and single performer: Eclectic (2001), 1321 North Las Palmas (2004), Las Palmas Ciudad de mar (2007), Estancias (2010), Dúos (2011), Alegre Coraçao (2014) y Solo Session (2016).
He has participated in the Canary Islands Jazz Festival (Festival de Jazz de Canarias) in several editions (2000- 2005- 2008- 2011 and 2015); the Music Festival of the Canaries (Festival de Música de Canarias) (2002 and 2016). The International Guitar Festival of the Canaries (Festival Internacional de Guitarra Canarias) (1996- 2000- 2001), the I and II Festival of Alternative Music of the Canary Islands (I y II Festival de Músicas Alternativas de Canarias) (2006 and 2007).The Festival of Guitar Masters in Grand Canary (Festival Maestros en Guitarra en Gran Canaria) (2011).III Edition of Canariasjazz Showroom (III Edición Canariasjazz Showroom )(2011 and 2017). Second and Third International Seed Jazz Festival (2º y 3º Semilla Jazz International Festival) (2015 and 2016) XXIX Madrid Jazz Festival (XXIX Festival Jazz de Madrid )(2012),Santo Domingo Jazz Festival (Festival de Jazz de Santo Domingo) (2012) 31st Festival Oficina da Música in Curitiba, Brazil, (2013). Spanish Sound Festival, Haus am Waldsee, Berlin and Heidelberg University during the Conference:” The one day session on Hispanism in Germany” (La Jornada de Hispanismo en Alemania ), 2012.

In 2010 was invited as guitar soloist to the International Academy for Intuitive Music, Dance and More in the city of Bonn, by the prestigious trumpet player and composer Markus Stokhausen. More recently, in 2016, he has participated as soloist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra I, together with the tenor Juan Diego Flores, during the 32nd International Festival of the Canaries at the Auditorium Alfredo Kraus as well as in the Auditorium of Tenerife, led by the American orchestra conductor Christopher Franklin.

He has also collaborated in different recording projects; such as the “Musical Creation of the Canaries” (“La Creación Musical en Canarias”), working as an interpreter and composer in the “Proyecto RALS” led by Lothars Siemens (1999, 2002). Canarias Heineken Jazz & Mas as instrumentalist, composer and producer (2005). Also in the work: “Poeta en la Isla (“Poet on the island”) as well as “Toda una Vida” (“ All my life”) with the Canarian band Mestisay (2006, 2007), “Union” where he has worked as intrumentalist, composer and producer together with Kike Perdomo and Nantha Kumar (2007). “Very Jar “, project in which he worked together with the “timple” player Jose Antonio Ramos (timple is a Spanish little guitar typical from the Canary Islands) (2008). “Once mensajes en una botella” (Eleven messages in a bottle) a multidisciplinary project made of music, plastic arts and literature where he intervened as composer (2009). Totoyo Millares “La Leyenda del timple” (The legend of the timple ) book CD and DVD as instrumentalist (2012).

He has given different master classes in the X Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Canarias (X International Guitar Festival of the Canary Islands ), 2000, in the school Mousike in La Laguna, Tenerife, 2013, and in the 2nd Semilla Jazz Internacional Festival in Los Cancajos on the island of La Palma, 2015. Javier Infante has been, since 2003 until the present day, professor of classical and electric guitar in the Music School of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as the Superior School of Music of the Canary Islands. He has started to publish his works and musical scores for the first time in 2014 , under the title “Creative Music” vol. 1, edited in Berlin (Germany) by Periferia Sheet Music. and “Solo Guitarra” (2018) edited in Madrid (Spain) by Beginbook Ediciones.
